  1. Hi, we just bought the pattern as a project for my 13 year old to make, just a question, is there a type of material that you would recommend to use? Regards, Iris.

    1. Hi Iris,

Sorry we missed your question until now!

Linen or linen-blend fabrics are a good choice. They look nice and are easy to work with.

  2. The pattern says 1/2" hemming, particularly around the top neck edge. Does this allow for folding over 1/2" two times to enclose the raw edge?

    1. It should be folded over 1/4" twice to enclose the raw edge - 1/2" is the total hem allowance (so where it says 1" on the neck curve, it should be folded over 1/2" twice).

  3. Hi! I am considering purchasing this pattern to make a warm winter cloak. Would the design work well in a nice drapey wool or wool blend?

    1. Hello! Yes, if it's not a very thick/bulky wool, otherwise you might find the pleats more difficult to stitch.
